"Somewhere
In Time"
Reflections
Reflections of
love stray
To bygone days
Of yesteryears
interlude
When romance set
her mood.
Reflections of
love long past,
Her first love
and last,
Now only
daydreams in
time,
Fond memories
kept in mind.
After so many
lonely years,
Countless nights
of tears,
And the
heartache of his
leaving,
Long ago she
stopped
grieving.
A widow of a
shattered
romance
She lives alone
not by chance,
She will live
out the days of
life
In her
imagination as
his wife.
Men have knocked
upon her door
But only amused,
nothing more,
She is contented
being alone,
Allowing no
other into their
home.
The home shared
many years ago
With her love
that now lies
low,
They lay him
ever gently
down,
Forever he
sleeps in
hallowed ground.
At a plot of
land in a stand
of trees
Behind the home
at evenings
breeze,
She kneels by
where her love
lies,
Placing a rose
as she cries.
